THE HEATING FUND.
Firstly a big thank you to all those people helping us towards reaching our £50,000 target.
As of the PCC meeting at the beginning of June it has been unanimously decided that we are in a position to now employ the heating engineer who will be fitting our new heating system in September.
However, we still have a fair amount of fundraising to do to ensure that we can fit and make good the system and the decoration of the Church.
If you have any ideas on how to help in any way then please speak with Father Steven or the Church Wardens.
If you would like to make a donation towards the fund then please contact Father Steven, details are on the Parish contacts page of this site.
We need your help and we need your prayers if we are to raise this money and install a worthwhile heating system into our Grade I listed Church building.

On Christmas Eve 2008 the Church and Parish room heating boiler blew up.
Since that time, the congregation have been worshipping in an unheated Church building. (very Victorian!)
Given as "secret vote" as to whether this should continue, or whether the congregation should worship elsewhere, there was a strong feeling amongst the congregation that, despite the times when it would be cold, the congregation wanted to continue worshipping God in our beautiful, if sometimes cold Church building.
We have, since this time had several quotes for a completely new heating system, the old system not being suitable for purpose even when functioning.
The Friends of Christ Church has the responsibilty for the maintenance and improvement of the fabric of Christ Church.
Several fund raising events have already happened or are planned to happen over the course of the year.
Our initial aim is to raise £50,000. An efficient heating system is vital, both for our congregations, for funeral and wedding services, for Church open days and for the preservation of the fabric of our beautiful grade 1 listed building.
If you have a special connection with Christ Church and would like to contribute to our heating fund, or have any exciting fund raising ideas, please contact the Parish office on 020 8674 5723 or email Father Steven. (There is a link on the Parish Contact page of this web site.)
Thank you
